For the 2016 model year, the Journey is being comprehensively refreshed, utilizing the same CUSW platform common in many new Dodge vehicles today. Word is that it will share the platform with the FIAT Freemont, a model only available in Europe. Dodge has yet to comment on these recent speculations regarding the model updates.
The CUV will likely be getting a new manufacturing location as well. Production will be shifting to the Unites States from Mexico. The CUV will be joining the production lines of the Chrysler 200 at the Sterling Heights, Michigan manufacturing facility. The 2015 version of the 200 is set to enter assembly early in 2014.
