The web series Roadkill, from the experts at Motor Trend, has become an internet sensation with automobile fanatics across the country. The hosts, David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan, tackle tough challenges with some unique vehicles, to say the least.
Their latest challenge involves classic muscle cars, including one by Dodge. The challenge at hand is travel from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City by going through Las Vegas. This poses a challenge particularly because of the heat element of driving through the desert. Once they've arrived in Utah, the two models partake in a drag race at the Rocky Mountain Raceway in the famed Midnight Drags competition.
The Dodge muscle car, a 1970 Super Bee, steals the show with its bright yellow and black paint job. It turns heads with the displacement sitting on display outside of the hood and loud roar of the engine. Power comes in the form of 675 horsepower and HEMI V8. We liken the classic model to current vehicles, like the Challenger.
We won't tell you which car won the race, but you can check it out for yourself here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7WRlxgMEeg#t=73.
