After World War II, Willys-Overland, the automaker that we now know as the Jeep brand, was in search of a way to better market their vehicles to a greater range of consumers. Making a significant and positive impact for the Allied forces throughout the war, the vehicles made a name for themselves. Adding the Jeepster model to the lineup filled an untapped segment for the automaker, the passenger vehicle. Now, it looks like the brand is bringing back the Jeepster nameplate with a new, city-ready vehicle.
We checked out some spy shots of the 2015 Jeep Jeepster and we are thrilled to tell you that this vehicle is unlike anything we've seen before. Not only does it offer a completely unique look, it will be sold at a competitive, affordable price and offer nice efficiency. Being the smallest vehicle in its segment, the new Jeepster will be ready to tackle your urban jungle.
With the Jeep brand currently under the Fiat umbrella of companies, it's not too surprising that the new Jeep model looks similar to the 2014 FIAT 500L. The new Jeepster will be equipped with a 1.4 liter turbocharged engine and have a base price around $20,000.
